I am fascinated with how our own mind influences the body and how bodywork can improve the way we feel. I qualified with a BTEC5 Diploma in Sports, Clinical and Remedial Massage Therapy in 2014 at the Oxford School of Sports Massage.
I was impressed with how massage can help with chronic pain and injury management. I wanted to find out more about the connection between the musculoskeletal pain and restrictions within internal organs so for the next two years I travelled to London, Scotland and New York taking Visceral Manipulation courses on Abdomen, Thorax, Pelvis, Manual Thermal Evaluation, Viscero-Emotional Relationships and Listening Techniques at The Barral Institute. My next project, starting from October 2017 is a series of Anatomy Trains workshops on Fascial Release.
In the past I worked for Oxford University Women's Lightweight Rowing Club and various clinics: Eau-de-Vie, Helix House and most recently Summertown Clinic. I now focus solely on Healing Space which I created together with my husband Cintain in 2016.
When I treat I don't work on you, I work with you. I give your system new information and I believe that you have the inner wisdom to use it in the best possible way.
I am a member of The Institute for Soft Tissue Therapists and I am registered with The International Association for Healthcare Practitioners.
I look forward to meeting you at your Healing Space.

For the last sixteen years I’ve devoted my life to finding out what makes people sick and what prevents them from thriving. Very soon into this journey I realised that in order to help others, I had to first understand and help myself out, because I was just as stuck as everyone else. When I started doing that, I also understood that every person has the potential to get un-stuck, that is, each of us can help ourselves live more fully, healthy, and happy, if we have the right tools and support.
My practice is a reflection of the techniques, modalities, and systems that I have found useful for myself and others through years of study and practice. The core of my work is Chinese Medicine, the oldest extant, continuously-practiced system of healthcare in the World, and I practise all the techniques I employ with an eye to this functional, holistic view of human life and its relationship with the environment. I graduated with a Diploma of Acupuncture from the Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences of Nelson, BC, Canada in 2006. Later on I furthered my studies by learning about Body-based Psychotherapy with the Corpore Institute, from which I graduated in 2012. Fascinated by the power of informed therapeutic touch, I then went on to learn Structural Integration from Tom Myers of Anatomy Trains fame, Visionary Craniosacral Work™ from Hugh Milne, and Visceral Manipulation from the Barral Institute.
I love my work, and the opportunity it affords me to bring ease, understanding, and wellbeing to others. I continue to be fascinated by the endless depth and complexity of the human body-mind and the interactions amongst us. I hope that I can have the opportunity to help you on your journey.
